When It Rains in Gurgaon, Potholes Become Mini-Lakes

If you live in Gurugram, you know the story. Every year when the rain comes, the roads break apart. Suddenly, the whole city is full of potholes. Some people even joke that our roads look more like a string of swimming pools!

You try to drive, but splash! Your car dives into a pothole so deep, it feels like you need a lifeguard instead of a mechanic. Bikes and scooties turn into little boats. Walking? Better carry an umbrella and a pair of floaties for your feet.

The city fixes the roads, but after a heavy rain, the holes come back. Maybe the people in charge think of these potholes as free water tanks. Who needs rainwater harvesting systems when the streets can hold all the rainwater anyway? Sometimes, it’s easier to laugh than to get angry.

So next time it rains in Gurgaon, remember to bring your raincoat, your sense of humor, and maybe a paddle. The roads might be broken, but the jokes in this city are always in good shape!
