The Observation Engine

It was certainly a NEWS when SnP downgraded the Rating of US from AAA to AA+. Something symbolizing like USA loosing its A. What is to be observed next is to see the effect of it on the other economies, specially the growing economies. India amongst them is already showing its reaction (-vely) since friday. Sensex has plunged for the 2 consecutive days. There is a selling pressure from the Institutional Investors or the FIIs which is creating panic. But its better to hold on the cliff and let the wind of uncertainty pass. In simpler terms I am going to HOLD ON my portfolio and will not give into the selling pressure. I would advise others to do the same. What I feel personally is that these are just the bubble effect which is going to subsidize very soon. Indian economy is strong enough and self-reliant to absorb the shock that is doing around the globe at the moment.

My current handset these days is "SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE". It is the 2nd smartphone for me (earlier I have used a Nokia 6270 in 2006). Feature wise its the best phone on android platform in the range of 13K-15K. It comes with a 5 MP camera(with flash), inbuilt GPS, android 2.2, 800MHz processor, 3.5" display, gorilla glass display, Multi-touch input. I have been enjoying the various apps preloaded plus installed by me on the phone. But I came across its real potential yesterday when I got a chance to use its GPS and google map. I had to go to a very peculiar place in West Delhi where I have never been before to. I tried calling few friends of mine who live in West Delhi but that was of no help. Then the idea of using the phone clicked to me and I feeded my destination in the phone. BANG, I got the route with landmarks & directions and I was there within an hour. As I have started writing this post, fortune of two teams are changing in European sub-continent side by side. Being an avid cricket lover (Jingoism involved), I was expecting a good contest in this second test match. I knew that there will be some rigidness in the first match as per the conditions & preparation, so the outcome didn't affected me a lot. I was pretty much positive about the turnaround for Team India in this second Test Match. And there were glimpses of the same at least till the end of 2nd day's play. India was on top, England was to lose this match. But unexpectedly I am now writing about India's loss. Not only the match but also the honor being of rank 1. England has with lots of effort used the "Trent Bridge" to climb to position 1 and throw the undeserved from there. Yes Dhoni and his team no more deserve the rank 1 in Test Versions of the play. Its crystal clear that India has played pathetically till now, there are no batsman to pile up ...

I had applied for a new passport finally in April'2011 after constant nagging by my dad since last 7-8 months. Since I had an earlier affair with the dept. while getting my sis's passport done 1.5 years back, I thought it would not be that much an issue. The only difference was that her's was made in tatkal quota (got in mere 8 days) and mine was applied through normal channel. Picking up tips from some friends I knew mine would take 5-6 weeks. But that was MY THOUGHT, a thought against govt's/system's/passport official's thought. The first week of august will be 4 month anniversary of my application. Only silver line is that its really in process which I have tracking through their website. The speed of all this getting done is really pathetic.

I guess its been a year that I have contributed on this page(BTW its not like that that I was writing a lot earlier also). But I am giving myself a second chance to start all over again. Wish me luck!!!

As per paper reports, the trials for Qutub-Gurgaon link is to start from 15th may. And the line will be open from june onwards. Life would become more easier after it, so m pretty excited. Just like last year, Indian team repeated their shaggy performance in T20 world cup. Its really disappointing for me(m a big cricket freak!!!) and all the fans out there. Now the second game has started, i.e BLAME-GAME. I just came across a news about dhoni putting it all on IPL night parties. And he is the same guy who has 2 days ago said in a interview that the losses are nothing to do with IPL. I mean come on, we r not idiots. Not saying that the guys are not talented, but yes big money is now ruining the game. Some measures are required to bring things on track.
